What we collect
When you run a scan, we process the domain you enter and publicly-available information about it. If you request a report by email or enable monitoring, we also collect the email address you provide. The free scan reads only public data and never tests or exploits your site.
How we use it
We use your email to send the report or monitoring alerts you asked for. A CyberBadger analyst may review your scan and contact you about your security posture and how we can help. We don't sell your data.
Cookies
The public scanner doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. We set a single essential cookie only when a CyberBadger operator signs in to the admin area, to keep that session secure. No third-party analytics or ad trackers.
Service providers
A few trusted providers process data on our behalf to run the service: our cloud host and our email provider (to deliver the reports and alerts you ask for). They may only use it to provide their service to us.
Your consent & choices (CASL / PIPEDA)
By requesting a report or enabling monitoring you consent to us emailing you about it. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Storage, retention & your rights
Your information is stored securely and kept only as long as needed to provide the service. Under PIPEDA you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. Just contact us.
